This indenture made this 27th day of August in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and fifty-one between John Nuckles of the County of Grainger in the State of TN of the one part and Overton Nuckles and Nancy Ann Nuckles of the county and state aforesaid of the other part witnesseth that the said John Nuckles for and in consideration of the sum of ten dollars to him in hand paid by the said Overton Nuckles hath and by these presents doth bargain, sell, ensue of and convey unto the said Overton and Nancy Ann Nuckles a certain tract of land lying and being in the County of Grainger and state of aforesaid south of Copper Ridge, Clinch River in _____ing the first bend above the Barnards' bend beginning at a bush on the bank of the river at the south side of the bend running south one pole to a stake then east seventy poles to sowerwood on top of the left, then north seventy east with McAnally's line sixty poles to a stake with three balck oak pointers above the head of the spicewood hollow then north fifty poles to a stake at the bank of the river, then with the meanders of the river to the beginning containing one hundred and eighteen acres to have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land with its appertenances to the said Overton and Nancy Ann Nuckles and their heirs forever in witness hath hereunto affix my seal this day and year above written, signed, sealed and delivered in the presence of witnesses.

This indenture made this seventeenth day of February in the year od our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty-four between Overton and Nancy Ann Nuckles of the County of Grainger and State of Tennessee of the one part and Joseph Rader of the county and state aforesaid of the other part witnesseth that the said Overton and Nancy Nuckles for and in consideration of one hundred and fifty dollars to them in hand paid, the receipt and payment is surely acknowledged hath bargained and sol all in f-----off and by these presents doeth convey and confirm to the said Joseph Rader his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract of land in the County of Grainger on Clinch River a point at the mouth of Patterson branch entered by Joseph Collins in the entry taken office of Grainger County bounded as follows; beginning on a buck? On the banks of the river at the south side of the bend, thence south one pole to a stake, thence seventy poles to a sourwood on the top of the left, thence north seventy east with McAnally's line sixty poles of the spice woodhollow, hence north fifty poles to a stake at the bank of the river, thence with the meanours? of the river to the beginning of thence one hundred and eighteen acres more or less which tract of land to either with to heredit? amounts and appertenances there to belonging to the said Overton and Nancy Nuckles will warrant and forever defend to the said Joseph Rader his heirs and assigns forever and indefeasible inheritance in law or equity in fee simple in resterning? there has been deposited in the General Land Office Warrant No 35225m for 80 acres in favor of Obadiah Knuckles, Private Captain Coleman's Company Virginia Militia War 1812. With evidence that the same has been duly located upon the East half of the Northeast Quarter of Section thrity three in Township twenty seven north of range eight east in the district of Lands subject to sale at Steven's Point Wisconsin containing eighty acres according to the official plat of said lands returned to the General Land Office by the surveyor general of the said warrant having been assigned by the said Obadiah Knuckles to Lorenzo D Warren in whose favor said tract has been located and the certificate of said location having been assigned by him to William H Hills.
Know ye that there is therefore granted by the United States unto the said William H Hills as assigns as aforesaid and to his heirs the tract of land above described to have and to hold the said tract of land with the appurtenances therefore unto the said William H Hills as assignee as aforesaid and to his heirs forever.. Given under my hand at the City of Washington the third day of January , 1860.
