Father Wins Boy Back- Thirteen Year Old Taken From Mother By Court Decree
Thomas Newton Nuckols Jr, 13 years old, clung to his mother and cast glances of resentment at his father and an aunt with whom he has lived for several years, as Justice Anderson, in Criminal Court No 1, delivered an opinion yesterday fixing the custody of the child with the father, in whose care he had been placed eight years ago when his parents were divorced in Richmond, Va. The child was taken into court on a writ of habeas corpus procured by Mr Nuckols against his former wife, Mrs Campbell King, by whom he alleged the boy had been taken from his home in Richmond, on February 20 and brought to Washington. Mrs King declared the boy asked to be taken away from his relatives in Richmond. Attorneys Ambrose and Block, representing Mrs King, alleged that the invironment in which the child is plac ed in Richmond is unsuitable. The father's council of Fulton and Wampler, however, declared that the Virginia court had fixed the custody of the boy.

Warrant For Bridegroom Whose Check Wasn't Good
T N Nuckols, Eighteen, who married Mrs Estelle Louise Crobarger on dec 29 Charged with Larceny
Richmond Police last night began a search for T N Nuckols, eighteen years old, who was wanted to answer a charge of grand larceny, preferred by James T Disney, manager of Murphy's hotel. On dec 29, nuckols claimed as his bride Mrs estelle Louise Crobarger, until that time a cashier at Murphy's. They were married in washington and the following day returned to Richmond making their home at Murphy's. On Dec 30th Nuckols entertained lavishly in in honor of his wedding and dozens of persons enjoyed the elaborate hospitality which he extended in the "rose room." Several days ago, according to a current report, Nuckols vanished leaving his wife here. He also left behind an unsettled board bill it was alleged, a check, which he had given in payment having been returned as worthless. Yesterday Mr Disney took up the matter with the police, and the result was that a warrant charging the theft of $75 was sworn out for his arrest. The check which Nuckols is said to have given the hotel was drawn on the detroit (Mich) Penny Savings Bank. Nuckols is said to be the son of a wealthy Detroit man, although the police assert that he was raised in Richmond. He is 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighs 125 pounds and is a good dresser.
