General Notes and Information:
Possibly brother of Peter, father of Caswell Benjamin Cobb, Elisha which B
erthas book says he moved to KY , but there never was a record. The gir l,
Harriet married Thomas Preston 1/14/1859 in Crittenden Co, KY They a re not
found in the 1850 or 1860 census of Crittendon Co, but in 18 70 is a child age
11 M E Preston, living in a household next door to Susan Lear, (she is the last
wife of Caswell). This M E Preston could very well have been the child of Thomas
and Harriett Nuckols Preston. She may have died in childbirth, he moved on and
left county. Because of the location, I suggest a strong link to this family
line.

great-grandmother, sister and f riend. She was a retired service representative
of GTE in Mt. Carmel and O lney, where she worked from 1947 through 1984. She
was a member of the Oln ey VFW, American Legion and Eagles. She lived for a
number of years in M t. Carmel, resided in Mexico for one year and spent her
remaining da ys in Olney.Marylyn is survived by her husband, Gene "Buddy"
Sturgeon of O lney; children, Susan Mack of Indianapolis, Tom Knuckles of
Meridanvill e, Ala., Matthew (Brenda) Knuckles of Decatur; step children, Loy T.
(Lynn e) Sturgeon of Olney, Leah (Larry) Willis of Olney; sister, Gloria (Davi
d) Duggan of Greencastle, Ind.; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchild
ren.She was preceded in death by both parents, husband, Charles Knuckle s; three
brothers, Joseph, Nelson and Daniel Hollen; and one sister, Evel yn
Banks.Memorials may be made out to Hospice of Southeastern Illinois.
