Admits Shooting Wife
William Nuckoles Sentenced to Fifteen to Twenty Years
Pleading guilty to a charge of shooting to kill, William Nuckoles, 26, was sentenced to serve from fifteen to twenty years in the penetentiary by Judge J E Boylan in the court of common pleas today. Nuckoles is said to have shot his wife at the home of her mother , 1106 Brown Street, May 17, after she had left him and refused to return to live with him. Seven bullets were fired, five of which took effect in Mrs Nuckoles' body. She recovered.

Akron Convict Divorced on Grounds of Cruelty
A decree of divorce was granted today to Mrs Mae Nuckoles, 1106 Brown Street, from William Nuckoles, serving a sentence in the state pententiary on a charge of shooting to kill. Following separation from his wife, Nuckoles is said to have shot her five times when she refused to return to live with him on May 10th. Grounds for divorce were given as extreme cruelty.
