This Deed, between Mary Knuckles (widow) of Robert Knuckles, deceased, of the first part, and Lucy Knuckles of the second part, witnesseth that the said party of the first part in consideration of the sum of $200 cash in hand paid the receipt of which is hereby a good knowledge, do hereby sell, Grant, and convey to the party of the second part, her, all the Dower interest, and claim, in and to the second part her heirs and assigns the following described property, Viz; situated in Bell County Kentucky on the north side of Cumberland River and bounded as follows: beginning In the Bed of the Ford Hollow that runs into the Cumberland River opposite the residence of JJ Gibson and add a point where the Louisville and Nashville Railroad right of way crosses said Hollow, thence in a westerly course with the line of said railroad to where said right-of-way crosses Stewart's branch in continuing with said line of right of way to the corner of the fence as it now stands about 100 feet from the said branch then with said fence to Cumberland River thence up the river and with its meanders to a point opposite a black walnut standing on the bank of the Ford Hollow, thence to set walnut tree thence to the beginning. This day Came CW Short, attorney for the beneficiaries thereunder and offered for probate a paper purporting to be the last will and testament of Mary Knuckles and in support of same heard the evidence of Robert Slusher, who testified to the death of the testatrix. Also the evidence of E. N. Ingram who testified to the signature of the testatrix as well as her understanding of the contents of the paper and that she declared the same to be her last Will And Testament, also that the time of making said document that the testatrix was of sound mind and capable of making a Will. Upon motion of said attorney for this action or proceedings hereunder is continued until the next term of this court. Ordered that court adjourned until tomorrow morning January 11, 1898,

At the February term of this court, Betsy Asher, by counsel came into court and had filed and moved to have probated what purported to be the last Will and Testament Of Mary Knuckles deceased. Margaret Hoskins* by counsel objected to the probation of the said writing, claiming said Margaret Hoskins to be the device under another and all their instrument and the pro-pounder and said Margaret Hoskins waiving formal exceptions and time the court heard the proof of the execution of said writing which was provided as required by law by Betty Jones and Jackson Asher two of the attesting witnesses to said writing and motion of said Betsy Asher was continued until the next term of this court for other and for this exception. By agreement the case was continued at the March term of this court until this the April term and now the sad motion coming on to be considered and no exceptions having been filed to the office of probation of the writing propounded by said Betsy Asher saving the objections of Margaret Hoskins and the court being advised orders and adjudged that the writing bearing the signature of Mary Knuckles and attested by Betty Jones, Jane Mills, and Jackson Asher dated December 27, 1897 is the last Will and Testament of Mary Knuckles deceased and same is now probated and ordered to be recorded as such last Will and Testament of Mary knuckles.

Three Held For Federal Court by Commissioner
A. B. Knuckles, Roy and Mack Knuckles who were arrested Wednesday charged with operating a still, were given a hearing before Commissioner A J Hearn yesterday. They were held for the US District Court June term at Bluefield, under bond in the sum of $2,500. each. The trio were arrested in Wyoming County on the White Oak Fork on Pinnacle Creek. A forty-five gallon still and 250 gallons of mash was destroyed along with a large amount of other equipment. The officers making the raid were Federal Agents Taylor and Lambert and State officers Watskins and Ferguson
