I, John W Nuckols of the County of Jefferson in the state of Kentucky, being of sound mind and disp--- memory and being also aware of the uncertainity of human life, I hereby dis--- of disp-- of my worldly affairs before I die , do declare this to be my last will and testament.
First, I desire that ll my past debts, also my funeral expenses shall be paid.
Second- As one of the heirs at law of the late Ann Nuckols and my grandmother ____(blank) Barnett, both of the State of Virginia, I am entitled to my distribution p--- of this respective --- and whereas the said estates are in property of settlement in the f--f--Co-- in that State. I hereby desire and bequeth that distribution share of these two estates together with whatever other property I may leave be as real p--enal is mifr-- to Samuel A Nuckolds and Cordelia M Nuckols, children of my brother Pouncey A Nuckoles and the same is to be equally divided between the said Samuel A and Cordelia M Nuckols.
Third-Having full confidence that my brother Pouncy A Nuckoles will faithfully discharge the trust herein inforced on him I Hereby appoint him my executor and request the proper court held to require any ---sity of him.
In witness whereof I have herein affixed my hand and seal on this the twenty sixth day of May in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and sixty-five.
