No census info on these folks.

James M Grant age 21 born Amherst Co son of Robert & Lizzie Grant md 1/5/1882 Sarah Nuckles, age 21 dau of Samuel and Hannah Nuckles. This daughter of Samuel married Ezekiel Gilbert. It is not known what this is all about. Sarah Gilbert appears in the 1900 census. The James M Grant in Amherst Co VA is born in Scotland and has a wife named Jennie in 1900, they also married in 1882. On another note, James Grants sister Annie Grant married Archie A Nuckles, a son of Samuel Nuckles and Hannah Rowsey. To put the icing on the cake, their sister Victoria Grant married Allen Nuckles, also a son of Samuel and Hannah Rowsey Nuckles. The daughter of Samuel named Anna J is the right age of 21 in 1882, so I wonder if this is an incorrect transcription.

Annie claims she the dau of James D Nuckolls, no mother named, she a widow. See census records (She a child of David and Phoebe NICHOLS in 1880)

James Nuckles, age 31 son of John and Lizzie Nuckles md 7/12/1912 Anna Elizabeth Staton, dau of Wm Dinsmore and Nancy, she a widow. This seems to be James E Nuckles who married Bessie Cora Pryor also naming the same parents whom he married in 1911. James and Bessie appear in the 1920 census and there is no other James that this could be.  Very strange and needs some research.

Rebecca Thompson, widow, age 33 born Rockbridge Co. dau of unknown. This John parentage not known, but prob has siblings Jos, James and Wm. Perhaps when these images are made available I will be able to read the fathers name.

Edward Ford, son of Thomas Ford and Jane (Milstead) Ford was born Fairfax Co, VA in 1738 died in Paris Kentucky in 1814; married Elizabeth KEITH (1745-1821). She was the dau of Rev James Keith and Mary Isham Randolph, the granddaughter of Thomas Randolph and Judith Fleming. Edward and Elizabeth Ford children:

Sallie Nuckles, born 1874 died 12/6/1890 Amherst Co, VA, the daughter of Thomas Nuckles and Sallie.        (No census records) no Thomas. Only Thomas and Fanny Rowsey Nuckles. They had a daughter Sarah but she born in 1886.

James Sutliff age 38 son of James and Sarah, married Mattie E Raines age 25 on 9/13/1903. She the daughter on Nuckols, no first name. In Richmond for 1910 James was found in the census with an Elizabeth age 27. Both had been married 3 times, but they had only been married 7months. If this was seven years all the pieces would fit.

Joseph Nuckles born 1890 son of George and Elizabeth Nuckles married 6/18/1920 Richmond to Marian Quinn, dau of Bernard G Quinn and Lillian. This family from Schuykill Co, PA. 1900 Census George was born 1858 in Poland/Russia and immigrated to the US in 1883.
