KENNETH W. NUCKOLS, 68, of Pleasantville, died Sunday at Shore Memorial Hospital in Somers Point. Mr. Nuckols was a self-employed roofer. He was a member of the Pleasantville Lions Club, the Marmora Elks, the Cardiff post of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and he was a special police officer for Egg Harbor Township. Mr. Nuckols was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II who received three Battle Stars in Normandy. Born in Pomona, he lived in the area all his life. Surviving are his wife, Anna of Pleasantville; one daughter, Jeannette A. of Pleasantville; two sisters, Roxanne McDevitt of Linwood and Dorothy Hensley of Summerville, Fla.; and four brothers, Harry and Joseph, both of McKee City, Raymond of Somers Point and Robert of Summerville, Fla. NUCKOLS, ANNA PALERMO, 79 - of Egg Harbor Township, passed away on Thursday, September 13, 2007. Â Mrs. Nuckols was born in Egg Harbor Township and an area resident her entire life. Â Anna was a graduate of Glassboro State College, ACC, and Dale Carnegie. Â She worked as a Special Education Teacher for the EHT School System and also worked as a Simulator Pilot for NAFEC until the day her daughter was born. Most recently, Mrs. Nuckols was a Principle Account Clerk for the Atlantic County Government. Her supervisor noted that she was a dedicated employee for 18 years. Â Anna had a love for the theatre. She worked as a seamstress who created beautiful stage costumes for the Show Makers. She also helped organize the EHT Scholarship Pageant. Â Anna was a member of the EHT Republican Club. She taught CCD classes at the Church of the Assumption. Throughout her life she enjoyed traveling the east coast from Florida to Canada. Â Anna is survived by her daughter Jeannette; three sisters: Barbara Mong, Victoria Camp, and Maria Palermo Bone; three brothers: David Palermo, Ace Palermo, and Reynold Palermo. Â A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, 11 AM, at St. Bernadette's Church, 1421 New Road, Northfield, where a viewing will be held from 10 AM until the time of the Mass. THOMAS, DAVID 56 - of Atlantic City, went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, February 21, 2012, passing at the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center-City Division. Dave was born September 18, 1955 in Atlantic City and he was a lifetime resident. He had served as a member of the US Army National Guard. And until we meet again he will be missed by all of his family and friends whose hearts he touched on a daily basis. One of Dave's favorite sayings is "God Bless!" so - right back to you, Dave, God Blessed you and now you are in Peace. Dave is predeceased by his mother Anna Mary (nee Gallagher) and his father Samuel Walter Thomas, five brothers; Harry, Sammy, Walter, Danny and Louie, one niece and seven nephews. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins and very close friends. We will all miss Steven very much.
