The First Virginia Nuckolls and Kindred
By Bertha Nuckolls edited by Sally Stetson Tongren
Printed by Thomas Todd Company, Boston Massachusetts 1960 (Hard Cover)
Bertha Nuckolls died in 1957 before she was able to publish this book. Sally
Stetson Tongren was the wife of Hale Nuckolls Tongren. Hale was the great
grandson of Clark S Nuckolls and Rosamond Hale. This book scanned into a
searchable PDF format. 145 Pages
This book and its
entire contents was entered into a database by Sandi Evilsizer
Koscak in 1992. Since the book was not copyright protected, Sandi’s goal was to
have the book reprinted. When discovering that the cost was more than could
be afforded, she began contacting relatives to get ideas. Together will
Edward
Reynolds and Adrian Hopkins, the Nuckolls Worldwide Kindred Society was formed
in
order to use dues for the sole purpose of reprinting this book. Upon
contacting
a multitude of other Nuckolls descendants, we found several errors in the book
that recent descendants had documented. So we began to make additions
and corrections to the existing database to extend these family lines to include
those of us living. The project was finally completed in 2000 when the Society
published our first book. Without this first effort by Bertha Nuckolls, we would
not be where we are today in the Society.
The First Virginia
Nuckolls and Kindred Book II
Copyright 2000 by the Nuckolls Worldwide Kindred Society and
compiled into book f
ormat by Sandi Evilsizer Koscak, Secretary of the NWKS. (Hard Cover, with gold
embossed print) Over 800 pages in searchable PDF format.
This book was
the result of the efforts of the founding members of the NWKS who
are named in this book. It began with The First Virginia Nuckolls and Kindred by
Bertha Nuckolls and ended with all of these Society members making additions and
corrections to their descendancy lines. This book has 70 pages of old photos.
It also included
the lines that we had not yet found the connection to the immigrant ancestor.
Although there were many more unconnected lines, such as Obediah Nuckles from
Kentucky and Robert Knuckles from Indiana, we were not able to publish these two
lines in this first book due to the size of the publication, and we reserved the
space
for those who were members of the Society at the time. This book was
reprinted by Higginson Books and you can order a hard copy from them at
www.Higginsonbooks.com for $125.00.
The First Virginia
Nuckolls and Kindred Addendum
Copyright 2007 by The Nuckolls Worldwide Kindred Society and
compiled by Sandi Evilsizer Koscak, Secretary of the NWKS. . (Hard Cover, with
gold embossed print)
1132 pages in searchable PDF format.
This book was
compiled as an addendum to Book II because many family lines and
new connections were made since the publication in 2000. Some lines were able to
be proven through recent DNA analysis. It was published as a continued
effort to
get the newest information available to others. This book contains the lines of
Obediah Nuckles of Kentucky and Robert Knuckles of Indiana before they were i
identified.

print)
302 Pages in searchable PDF format.
This book was
compiled an published due to an error in recording the descendants of Obediah
Nuckols. When creating the genealogy report for his descendants to be
included into the latest book, the option to include all descendants was not
displayed. Because of this error, many descendants were not included in
the book. Also because
of the extensive research and DNA evidence to support his connection, we felt it
necessary to provide this publication to those who ordered the Addendum. No
additional copies were printed, so it is no longer in print, except in soft
cover.
