MEBANE-NUCKOLLS-PERKINS
BED & BREAKFAST

Mebane

Fayette Co, TN 1962

In Rossville, the story of the Mebane family is as classic as "Gone With The Wind". John and William Mebane's appearance on the scene came during the turbulent era that led to the War Between the States. This family overcame obstacles of nature, distance, and death to build a cotton plantation, second to none in the South. Hidden by a forest of maples and oaks, this lovely old brick mansion is now the Mebane-Nuckolls-Perkins Bed and Breakfast, owned by Willie and Jim Ann Perkins. The Perkins preserved not only the physical structure, but recaptured some of the beauty and tragedy in tales and legend
