Page 507, Feb 20, 1778, from James Farris of Halifax County, and Susanna, his wife, to Jacob Nichhols of P, for 100 f, all that tract of land which the said Farris bought of Hugh Innes, the patent[ee] which land is in P on the north fork of PAnther Cr, containing about 400 acres, and bounded by Cattail fork, a large meadow called Ark. The land was patented to Hugh Innes on Jul 11, 1761. Signed-James (I-his mark) Faris, Susana (R her mark) faris. Wit- Josep Collins, Michael Pruit, Elisha Pruit, Jeremiah Collins. At a court held for P. May 28, 1778 [nothing follows]

Page 432 Nov 8, 1777 from George Jefferson of Anson County, North Carolina, to William Hoy of same, for 350l, about 500 acres in P on Turkey Cock Cr, and is bounded by [trees] being part of a tract of land the said Jedderson purchased of Clement Read, and includes what is called Turkey Cock Meadows. Signed G. Jefferson. Wit-Thomas Chiles, Mary Nichoals, Susanna Nichoals, White. Anson County, North Carolina. This deed was acknowledged in person by George Jefferson; Elizabeth, his wife, voluntarily relinquished her right of dower to the lands conveyed. Signed Nov 8, 1777 - John Chiles, David Love, Wm Marsh (Anson County Magistrates. No recording date mentioned.
